Dr. Mackensen sees our exotic pet patients at the Animal Hospital of Warwick. We provide many services for these pets, including:
- physical examination
- instruction in proper care, nutrition and handling
- Harrison's diets
- medication as needed for illness
- diagnostic bloodwork and other laboratory services
- digital x-ray
- surgery may be available; if surgery is needed, Dr. Mackensen will decide if it would be best to perform surgery here, or to refer to a specialist.
- endoscopy; please call for details
Dr. Mackensen's hours are as follows:
Monday: Appointments, 9:30AM - 12:00PM
Tuesday: Surgery (Morning)
Wednesday: Appointments, 9:30AM - 12:00PM
Thursday: Appointments, 2:00PM - 8:00PM
Saturday: Appointments, 10:00AM - 1:00PM, Every 3rd Weekend
Because Dr. Mackensen cannot be available at all times, we are unable to offer hospitalization or supportive care for exotics. If your pet needs more intensive care than our facility can provide, we will offer you several referral options. The health of your pet is always our top priority.
